Membership Requirements
NEW MEMBERSHIP APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS:
1) New Membership application

2) The membership year starts when the new application has been processed by the URPC Membership Secretary.
3) The prospective member is required to provide a photo ID to verify name and date of birth.
4) When a prospective member joins URPC they must be a member of the National Rifle Association (NRA) or California Rifle and Pistol Association (CRPA). They must maintain a valid NRA or CRPA membership for the duration of their URPC membership year. It is imperative that a photocopy of the prospective members' current NRA, CRPA card or magazine mailing label, with expiration date is included with their URPC application.

5) Pay the required fee
6) Sponsorship or Certification (only one needed)
a) Any active URPC member may sponsor the prospective member's new application or
b) If the prospective member does not have a sponsor, the perspective member must attend a Firearms class and provide a completion certificate (all expenses are paid by the applicant) or
c) The applicant obtains a current CCW permit or
d) Applicant is a current Law Enforcement Officer or current US Military service. (must provide Identification)
7) Mail the prospective members' application with all supporting documents.
8) Required Orientation of the URPC facility
a) Once the prospective member has received a notification of acceptance from the URPC Membership Secretary via email
or phone.
b) The prospective member must schedule and attend an orientation of the URPC facility. This orientation will
take approx. 3+ hours. Orientation dates will be emailed to the prospective member with date and times available.
URPC communicates with members by email. Please provide an email, if possible. Once application has been received, the processing time is approximately 1 week. If no email was received, check your spam/junk files. The email will be sent by [email protected]. You may contact the URPC Membership Secretary at any time.

MEMBER RENEWAL/URPC LIFE MEMBER
1) Every member has their own renewal date. Once that date has been established, it will not change, unless the member becomes delinquent. Once delinquent, the member must re-apply for membership.
2) A renewal invoice is mailed approximately 1-2 months in advance. If the member did not provide an email, then the renewal invoice will be mailed via postal service.
3) The member is required to provide a photo ID to verify name and date of birth.
4) The member is required to provide National Rifle Association (NRA) or California Rifle and Pistol Association (CRPA) membership when it expires and/or when the member renews the membership. Not providing this information will suspend the members' membership to the URPC. Members that have Life statis with NRA or CRPA must provide this information upon request from the URPC Membership Secretary.
5) A URPC Life member status is granted by the board of directors only and is not required to pay the yearly fee. All other requirements apply.
BEING A SPONSOR
Any current member in good standing may be a sponsor for a new member. The current member is verifying that the new member applying for membership is an upstanding person and would be an asset to the URPC.
